Grade 8 Referee Course - Feb 23rd, In Cleburne, ages 13 and up.

Grade 8 Soccer Referee Clinic - Cleburne course # 28574


Where & when

February 23rd, in Cleburne @ 8AM. The Clinic will be held at Rangaire, 501 South Wilhite, Cleburne, Texas 76031. This grade 8 course is open to new referees, along with referees who are currently grade 9 and want to move up. The course will run from approximately 8AM4PM.

Course requirements

The grade 8 course is open to anyone that is age 13 and above at the time of signing up for the course. Past referee experience is NOT necessary to become a referee, but you must be 13 years or older to register for the course.

Cost and pay

The cost of the course is $80. Once certified, you will be able to referee all the way through 2019. Referee pay starts at $16 a game, from there, the pay goes up to $60 per game depending on the age division game. 

Finding the course

The Grade 8 course, can be found on the NTX referee clinics website by doing a google search for “NTX referee course”.  http://www.ntxsoccer.org/referee_clinics/ .Once on the NTX Courses home page, you can seek out our course specifically by clicking the grade 8 course option, “Grade 8 Basic Referee Clinic” and then scrolling to the date of Feb 23rd, ultimately finding our course, Cleburne - 28574. Signing up for the course

Once you have made it to our specific course page, at the bottom of the page, you will see "to register for this course, click here”, click the option for click here. After doing so, you will then be taken to a page where you will need to click the option to create a “USSF Registration account”. Now you will click the link for "I have never been registered”. Then you will need to check the box for "I meet the requirements above and I am ready to create a new account", now click continue. You will need to fill out the information for the course attendee, whether it be you, a friend or family member signing up, be sure to put THEIR information.

Online portion completion

After you have signed up for the course, you must complete the online portion of the course (approximately 2 hours of online video training) before attending the in person portion of the course. You don't have to complete the online training all at once, you are able to pickup where left off and continue on from viewing session to the next. Completing the online portion should be simple as logging into your newly created USSF account, navigating to courses, and beginning your online training. Season dates

We are looking to start our Spring season on the weekend of 3/9, our season will run till around May 18th or so. We then have a tournament in the Summer, which is a great opportunity to work a lot of games and make a lot of money. Our Fall season will start around early September.

Referee gear

You can find the referee equipment on the "official sport" website or by using this link http://officialsports.com/off-field-apparel/starter-kits/

You will need a referee uniform (yellow shirt, black shorts, black socks) and equipment (whistle, watch, coin, pen, booklet, cards) to get started. You do not immediately need to acquire flags until you are ready to start centering games.
