Rain Policy

Thankfully, we are getting some much needed rain. As such, here's a reminder about our rain-out policy.  Games will still be played when it is raining unless:

1. There is lightning in the area (at which time the referees will stop games that have already been started or delay games that have not started) We will wait until there is no strike for 15 minutes, and then restart the game. The CSA President or the field assignor will make a decision as to whether games will be playable in a reasonable amount of time or not. Therefore, do not leave the area immediately as the game may be restarted.

If there is lightning, ALL players, parents, spectators, coaches, and referees must leave the fields and take cover.

2. If the fields are holding water and the City of Cleburne has closed the Sports Complex.

3. A hard rain - The human skin is water proof and a little rain will not hurt the players. It must be a hard rain or games will still be played. The CSA President or the field assignor will make a decision as to whether games will be playable in a reasonable amount of time or not. Therefore, do not leave the area immediately as the game may be restarted.

The website will be updated as soon as possible and the the CSA Voicemail message.  CSA commissioners will communicate to coaches about the rescheduling of games and weather conditions.  Parents must communicate with coaches.

If your game is out of town, check with that association's website to get info about their field conditions before you leave Cleburne.  Each association has very unique fields and the amount of water they can hold varies. Just because games are canceled in one spot doesn't mean they are canceled for all.

You can also sign up to receive text message alerts by texting CLEBURNE to 84483 to receive alerts about our field conditions.
